Olympic Production Marathon

I'm currenly in the midst of a cluster of action-packed shoots with Olympic athletes spanning 4 states over the course of about a month.  The action kicked off in Lansing, Michigan with Gymnastics USA star Jordyn Wieber, followed by a jaunt to Florida to capture the hometown flavor (Daytona Beach) and intense training regimen (UF/Gainesville) of top US swimmer Ryan Lochte.  We relished the challenges of shooting high production value spots in very limited time windows- apparently commercials are considered slightly secondary to actually training for the worlds Olympic stage, as we were regularly reminded by their coaches.  Squeezing 30' Technocranes into tight entryways was an exciting adventure in both Michigan & Florida.  I hope to post pix and clips from these shoots as well as my interview with NBC Jacksonville on the set of the Lochte shoot.

RIght now I'm spending Easter Sunday en route to Des Moines, Iowa for a Bounty commercial starring Gymnast Shawn Johnson and her mother Teri.

In the on-deck circle:  a trip to Baltimore to film swimmer Michael Phelps.
