2015 was a whirlwind of activity and I'm long overdue for a recap. Among some of the highlights:
I had the opportunity to work with NBA MVP Steph Curry, producing a commercial spot for Muscle Milk that enlisted "real-people" talent- athletes from all around the Bay Area. Continuing my legacy of Olympic work, I got to work on a Visa Campaign with BBDO & AKQA, featuring 25 Olympians & Paralympians from all around the world.
Some car related fun came my way on a pair of shoots for Nissan featuring The Voice superstars Blake Shelton & Adam Levine. In April & again in November, we shot both broadcast & longform internet spots via Camera Car & GoPros, comedically showcasing their commute to Universal Studios. Adam also took some time to join us for a PSA for the Red Thumb Campaign against texting while driving.
I got to work on some top-secret Silicon Valley tech related projects, and some very NOT top secret viral spots, including a hilarious Hanes project with Director Ben Callner.
Last but not least, in the network promo world, I produced the FOX Image Campaign this past summer, working with stars including Rob Lowe, Will Forte, January Jones, & Fred Savage; and more recently 4 spots to launch Eva Longoria's new NBC show Telenovela. I also produced an elements/content shoot for CBS Super Bowl 50, which is now right around the corner here in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Wishing you a happy new year, and check back on my site for more updates coming soon- including some fresh new spots & exclusive production stills!

I recently had the opportunity to produce a series of Audi pieces starring Fred Armisen (and co-starring the Audi Q1) - comedically bringing home the theme of "going off script." The 3 spots, directed by the hilarious & talented Clay Weiner of Biscuit, featured cameo appearances from Krysten Ritter, JB Smoove, and SNL legend Norm MacDonald. Working on a tight timeline as Fred flew down to us during a quick break from his Portlandia work, we covered a lot of ground on our shoot - from a New York City nightime crime scene, to the depths of the jungle, to a civilized urban cafe. Check out the completed spots on my commercial page, and take an inside look behind the scenes here: http://vimeo.com/104802283

To say I've worked with an interesting range of star talent this year would be quite the understatement. I kicked off the year with 4 Olympic spots for NBC featuring Jenna Elfman, JK Simmons, and Payton the Dog in USA Hockey goaltending gear. Continuing the canine theme, I recently had the opportunity to work with a spectacular dog named Bomber on a project with Director Alex Ogus of Company Films. The process of casting & training the dogs took almost a full month. Thanks to the hard work of Ursula at Boone's Animal Trainers, Bomber put together a smooth & unforgettable performance on the shoot day.
Honey Boo Boo in Georgia. The Duggars in Arkansas (aka the 19 kids & counting family). Randy at Kleinfeld Bridal in NYC (Say Yes to the Dress!) Just a few of the interesting characters we spent time working with for the TLC Network up front, directed by Glen Owen. Fun fact: TLC has no less than 5 shows about Bridal Wear! This shoot was a manic, transcontinental journey, but we had a blast.
Last but certainly not least, back in the comfort of the studios of Los Angeles, we caught up with Disney talent for a pair of shoots in May. Sasha Pieterse of "Pretty Little Liars" starred in a Coke commericial, and we promoted the film "The Fault In our Stars" in a piece shot backstage with Chasing Life stars Italia Ricci & Aisha Dee.
Be on the lookout for some new production stills shot behind the scenes on these interesting sets!

Happy New Year! I'm taking a moment to catch my breath and reflect on an action packed 2013- not quite a double issue of TIME Magazine, but a few thoughts.... I had the opportunity to work with a vast & interesting array of talent: Chris Paul, GSP, Carson Daly, performers from The Voice, Mythbusters, and BrewDogs-- not to mention a nice crop of new faces: upstart actors, young musicians and reality stars. As usual, automotive work was a big part of my year, with challenging & exciting projects for Jeep, Lexus, KIA, and of course Scion. Beyond the good ol' LA TMZ, production had me traveling to unique parts of the country including Baltimore, Portland, San Francisco, and glamourous Northeastern Lousiana. It was a pleasure working with such talented Directors & Creatives, and I look forward to sharing some new spots and BTS pix from these productions with you soon- so stay tuned.....

I recently wrapped a 3 day shoot to celebrate & commemorate the 10 year anniversary of Scion. Over the course of the project, we shot the full family of 5 car models along with almost 40 principal actors. We worked day & night, covering a diverse range of locations- parks, urban party scenes, and the studio backlot at Universal.
I'm currently in production on round 2 of a collaboration between KIA and The Voice. Directed by Taj Stansberry, this round of spots features Voice finalists and their biggest fans visiting underfunded schools, emphasizing the need to give back to the community, and promoting the cause of donorschoose.org.
I'm looking forward to sharing these spots with you as soon as they hit the airwaves & the web!

Hello and happy new year! 2013 is off to a great start. I just returned from an UnderArmour shoot in Baltimore starring UFC fighter Georges St. Pierre (GSP) & NYC Trainer Natalie Uhling. I'm currently back in LA prepping a shoot for a new Lexus launch. Look for new spots and production stills soon on the site, and have a lucky '13!

I'm currently in the midst of a 4 spot campaign for Kia's Sorento, Directed by Taj Stansberry. The spots feature finalists from The Voice spending the day popping around LA with a lucky and enthusiastic fan..... rolling around of course in a brand new 2013 Kia Sorento. Our crew has been keeping it in full gear with as many as 4 or 5 locations per day, ranging from the Hollywood Walk of Stars to the Venice Beach Basketball Courts to Los Feliz to the Sunset Strip. The stories each feature personal stories and performance pieces from Jermaine Paul, Tony Lucca, Juilet Simms, and Dia Frampton and come to their close on the live stage of The Voice.

Michael Phelps. Jordyn Wieber. Ryan Lochte. Shawn Johnson. Tortoise on a track. Swimming dog. Penguin on diving board. Twelve 11-Month old babies being maniplated by goofy dads into balance beam and track competitions. The flavor of the past few months has been Olympians - current, past, future, and imaginary. This string of shoots began back in March with intense, heartfelt profiles of the stars of Team USA. The furious sprint to the finish concluded in July with action-packed Olympic themed spots directed by the Russo Brothers for their new show Animal Practice and by NBC's Matt Jacoby for Guys with Kids, executive produced by Jimmy Fallon.

I'm currenly in the midst of a cluster of action-packed shoots with Olympic athletes spanning 4 states over the course of about a month. The action kicked off in Lansing, Michigan with Gymnastics USA star Jordyn Wieber, followed by a jaunt to Florida to capture the hometown flavor (Daytona Beach) and intense training regimen (UF/Gainesville) of top US swimmer Ryan Lochte. We relished the challenges of shooting high production value spots in very limited time windows- apparently commercials are considered slightly secondary to actually training for the worlds Olympic stage, as we were regularly reminded by their coaches. Squeezing 30' Technocranes into tight entryways was an exciting adventure in both Michigan & Florida. I hope to post pix and clips from these shoots as well as my interview with NBC Jacksonville on the set of the Lochte shoot.
RIght now I'm spending Easter Sunday en route to Des Moines, Iowa for a Bounty commercial starring Gymnast Shawn Johnson and her mother Teri.
In the on-deck circle: a trip to Baltimore to film swimmer Michael Phelps.

Last week was an action packed week as Lexus debuted "The Beast" Campaign for its brand new GS with our heavily stylized sci-fi spot that aired as the 1st quarter of the Super Bowl came to a close. As a lifelong Dolphins & Cowboys fan who despised both Super Bowl participants, it was nice to have something during the game to look forward to. Part 2 rolled out the following day and showcased the car escaping the vault and dashing down an obstacle-filled corridor.
I produced the project, filmed in November 2011, for LA-based Hazel Films in collaboration with ATTIK Agency from SF. We shot the spots in Long Beach on 2 Alexas with Director Simon Needham, DP Daniel Ardilley, and Production Designer Loren Lyons.
Look for the 2 spots to be posted soon on my SPOTS page, as well as a BTS link.

Wishing you all a spectacular and fun-filled holiday season. The last few months have been swift and action packed. After returning from a successful shoot in Vancouver, I had the opportunity to produce a few interesting gigs. Highlights include:
* A stage shoot in Hollywood with Hangover DP Larry Sher in which we paired up "The Soup" star Joel McHale with various reality TV caricatures.
* A Super Bowl spot with an action/sci-fi feel that I'm contractually prohibited from giving you any details on (we'll talk Feb 2nd)
* 3 spots for Slim-Fast with Director Mark Bennett in beautiful Cancun, Mexico.
I look forward to sharing the new spots with you as well as some unique behind-the-scenes shots from set.

After shooting the sequel to our Scion "Zeus" comedy spots here in LA, I hit the road with the ATTIK/Scion team to majestic Vancouver, BC.
We reunited the "Dream Team" from last year's Vancouver shoot of Sydney-based cinematographer Daniel Ardilley and operator Brooks Guyer.
Over the course of a week, we shot running footage for stock & modified versions of all 4 Scion models, taking it to the streets, parkades, bridges, and even some secret underground tunnels.
Look out for behind-the-scenes pix coming soon to the Production Stills section of the site.

Recently wrapped a Green Screen shoot for E! Entertainment network promoting Kendra and the new show Dirty Soap, featuring an ensemble cast spearheaded by Kelly Monaco. Being indoors for a shoot was a nice change of pace...
So far this summer I've trotted around to a number of unique (and sometimes sweltering) locations. In late June I traveled to the northern (Vasquez Rocks) and southern (Long Beach Harbor) reaches of LA County for a shoot with Gil Cope & Dark LIght Pictures. In July, I produced a promo for Whitney Cummings' new NBC show, coming to their new Thursday night comedy lineup this fall. This was followed by a 2 week jaunt to the distant reaches of rural America - on location in Virginia, Indiana, and Illinois with Pogo Pictures' Director/DP/Suprisingly Good Singer Steve Colby.
Anyhow, I am now back in good ol' cloudy 70 degree Venice and looking forward to the next adventure.

Back in early April, I produced a series of Broadcast and Viral spots for Scion's new tC Release Series. The campaign was a collaboration between Hazel Films, ATTIK agency, Brewster Parsons, and Pistolera Post. The shoot took place at Red Studios (formerly Ren Mar) in Hollywood, and stars a comedic, sports-car loving Zeus, aka "The God of Gods." This week, the completed spots hit the air, following up a series of mockumentary behind the scenes pieces that were released as virals. All can be seen at this link:

Went to the Florida Native Producers Reception last night at SOHO House West Hollywood. The event was hosted by Film Florida and organized by my old friend Graham Winick, Miami Beach Film Commissioner. Thanks to attractive tax incentives; my former home state has seen an incredible uptick in shows. To learn more about the incentives and filming in the state, check out: http://www.filmflorida.org/
Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to the impending release of some fantastic shoots that I produced right here on the home front in California. Stay tuned for some fresh new clips.....
